Alexandra Palace, located in North London, is an iconic Grade II listed entertainment and sports venue with numerous areas of overhead glazing. As part of ongoing maintenance works, Glazing Refurbishment were instructed to carry out site-wide dilapidation inspections of the overhead glazed roofing.
The client had been experiencing numerous water ingress issues but couldn’t locate the exact points of ingress. As a result of this, GR’s surveying team recommended a full dilapidation inspection was the best option to fully identify the scope of works required to be undertaken to bring the overhead glazing back up to a serviceable standard.
The construction of Alexandra Palace resulted in specialist MEWP access equipment paired with level three IRATA trained Abseil technicians to inspect the various glazed roofs and ascertain all information required to create our findings report.
Within the technical findings report, all required remedial works and recommendation are detailed within a photographic schedule, on how to move the project forward and bring the various glazed roofs up to a serviceable standard for years to come.
