After successfully serving Queen & Country as a member of The British Army, I gravitated into the commercial glazing marketplace in the Summer of 1988. GLRE, the original, sector defining company was formed in April 1996, and I remain as I write the current owner and operator.
Many hundreds of young people have passed through the GLRE apprenticeship scheme over the last 27-years, and I am both proud and honoured to still work alongside many of them on a daily basis.
I have worked in the commercial glazing industry for 17 years. My role as a coordinator involves scheduling visits, producing quotations, procuring materials and access equipment and assisting with the project manager and operatives for high quality customer service and job efficiency. Customer focus is key to ensure requirements are adhered to and the safest and most efficient route to delivering the works are met.
What I love about working at GLRE is the team. We all play a vital role and always help one another to provide an excellent service.
I spend my spare time with my family, enjoying the Cinema, shopping, and regular walks with our pug.
Having recently made the leap into full-time project management I still like to get my hands dirty on-site when time permits. With 10 years’ experience fitting all manner of fenestration products, from PVC windows to large commercial aluminium projects, I enjoy the project diversity and job fulfilment GLRE consistently offers.
Outside work I Enjoy a quiet life and time with my family.
With a background in Recruitment and business development roles across various industries, I have acquired numerous skills that contribute to my role as business development manager at GLRE.
I help the business bring in new clients as well as developing existing client bases.
In my free time, I enjoy maintaining an active lifestyle by going to the gym, spending quality time with my family and friends and exploring new places.
I have worked in the glazing industry for over 30 years across all areas, from boarding up and commercial reglazing to delivering large new works Projects throughout the UK. I head up the UK Structural Glazing Division of GLRE where we offer nationwide design, manufacture and installation of:-
- Structural Glazing
- Curtain Walling and Shopfront Glazing
- Entrance Systems
- Balustrading
- Architectural Glass and Glazing
Typical Projects Range from £10k to £1.5m.

Away from work, it’s the family who keep me busy! I have a large interest and involvement in Motocross Racing, where I travel the length and breadth of Europe to support my son who competes for a Factory racing team at national and international level and my daughter is a keen showjumper.
I have spent the last 3 years project coordinating within the Construction, M&E and Glazing industry. My role enables me to oversee projects the whole way through, from initial client interaction to final sign off, invoicing and a happy customer. These projects vary from same day emergency call-outs to phased, year-long projects, which enables me to build up strong, long-term relationships with our clients and all parties involved in the project, which I really love.
When I’m not coordinating projects at work, I like to spend my spare time socialising and on holiday with a cocktail in hand!
I have been working in the commercial glazing industry for upwards of 20 years, specialising in the delivery of complex, high-level glass and glazing replacement and, more recently, large scale façade refurbishment programs. Over the years I have worked with and retain a wide-ranging client base, from FMs and building owners to surveyors and consultants, all of whom return to GLRE for upcoming façade and glazing replacement and upgrade projects.
At GLRE I love the great team we have built over the years, helping us deliver the high-quality service our clients receive.
Away from work, I am a big football fan, watching my kids play regularly and playing myself (I am still trying!). I also enjoy a game of squash and, of course, spending time with my family.
I began life at GLRE as a procurement and project co-ordinator. Having gained experience as a contract manager for main contractors, and with the support and assistance of all my colleagues, and a couple in particular, naming no names (Kieron, Michael), who recognised my potential and enthusiasm, I quickly progressed into project management and now find myself Project Director, overseeing some of GLRE’s largest projects.

Hi there! I'm John Evitt, bringing over 34 years of experience in management consultancy and finance to the table. As a dedicated professional, I've had the privilege of working with GLRE for many years, where I've honed my skills in projects, sales, and delivering exceptional customer service and project management.
When I'm not immersed in the wonderful world of glazing, you'll find me cheering for my favourite rugby team on the sidelines or engaging in various sports activities.
I'm thrilled to be a part of the sales and marketing team here at GLRE.
As a dynamic and motivated individual, my main focus is on ensuring our customers' satisfaction. I genuinely enjoy engaging with our valued clients and providing them with exceptional support throughout their journey.
On top of my role here, I am undertaking an apprenticeship in Online Marketing and E Commerce. My commitment to continuous learning allows me to bring fresh perspectives and up-to-date knowledge to my work, ensuring that I'm always providing the best solutions for our customers.
Outside of work, I have a passion for reading, gaming, and participating in various sports. Football in particular holds a special place in my heart.

With over 25 years of experience in the glazing industry, I have had the privilege of working on a diverse range of projects that have contributed to my role.
At GLRE I have had the opportunity to lead and oversee numerous successful projects, leveraging my expertise to ensure efficient execution with exceptional results. I enjoy coordinating teams, managing timelines, and liaising with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Outside work, one of my greatest passions is horse racing, particularly flat racing. As I'm based in the North, I always look forward to the Doncaster meetings.
I am a dedicated professional who values collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. I thrive in dynamic environments where I can apply my problem-solving abilities and drive projects to success.
Having started in the industry closing in on 10 years, I have been involved in many positions, predominantly as a site manager. I have worked on a variety of projects from refurbishment packages to full façade envelopes with Tier 1 principal contractors.
My experience with working with a variety of clients and projects while also having the technical knowledge of a diversity of products has made me an asset.
I am delighted to be back with GLRE – the company I started my career in the industry with and I am excited to see it has gone from strength to strength.
Outside work I enjoy spending time with my family, going out for meals and running – due to my like for going out for meals – and collecting vinyl records.
With over six years’ experience as an IRATA rope access technician and a qualified Level 3 supervisor, I have a breadth of knowledge within the commercial high-level glazing industry. From specifying and designing access and lifting rigs to full project management and delivery, my role includes tackling and completing the most challenging projects.
In my spare time I enjoy my Sport, especially rugby, and love the occasional trip to Twickenham to watch England play.
With extensive experience in the construction industry, I specialise in management accounting and budgeting. Over the years, I have honed my skills in financial management, supporting companies in achieving their financial goals. Currently, I am proud to be a part of GLRE for nearly 5 years. Outside work I am a lifelong supporter of Wolverhampton Wanderers and the England national football team. As an avid football enthusiast, I enjoy following and cheering for my favourite teams during my spare time. With my extensive experience, specialised skills, and dedication to financial excellence, I am committed to driving success for GLRE and contributing to the growth of the construction industry.

Led by Jordon, our knowledgeable and experienced SHEQ advisor, we prioritise compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control measures for construction firms and on-site operations. After I left school, I enrolled on a four-year apprenticeship in Engineering. I then moved into the glazing industry and have been in this industry coming up to 30 years now. I have an extensive range of experience through various positions I have held, from glazier, aluminium foreman and installer right through to Senior Project Manager.
Being part of the GLRE team is very rewarding. Combined we have a wealth of experience across the board, and this fits perfectly with our clients’ needs and helps us support each other.
In my spare time my hobbies are fishing, shooting and DIY. I also have a young family that keep me very busy.
Billy Potter joins GLRE as Senior Works Supervisor for Scotland and brings 25 years of experience working in the glazing and fenestration sector. Billy manages over 8 other working technicians, heading up the maintenance and repair of other companies and is challenged with bringing the same service to GLRE.
Billy in his spare time enjoys playing tennis, golf and bowls and spending time with his daughters and close family.
Paul Graham joins GLRE as Senior Project Manager for Scotland with a wealth of knowledge and over 20 years’ experience working in the glazing and fenestration sector. Paul’s specialty lies in problem finding and leak detection, and he has great strengths in fixing technically challenging issues for our valued clients.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys watching his son play football at weekends, albeit not much of a footballer himself!
I am an experienced and dedicated Credit Controller with a strong background in financial management.
I manage the credit control process and am responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, monitoring customer accounts, and implementing effective credit control procedures. By assessing creditworthiness, I mitigate risks and ensure that outstanding debts are collected in a timely manner.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I enjoy various activities in spare time, including cooking, especially baking. I have a genuine passion for creating delicious and enticing treats and I often take these into the office to share with my colleagues, spreading a bit of sweetness!
Beyond the kitchen, I cherish time spent with loved ones and we make it a priority to spend quality time together.
I have worked in the construction industry for the past 18yrs, predominantly in the glazing market.
My role as project coordinator within the UK Structural Glazing side of GLRE is to assist the operations team deliver projects to the highest standard, ensuring our customer needs and expectations are met, whether this is by procuring materials, arranging access and lifting equipment or juggling the logistics of getting these items to site on time. I also get involved with the cost management and estimating aspects and enjoy helping execute our projects safely and efficiently for all parties involved.
I enjoy being part of the GLRE team; we all work together to get the job done, ensuring our customers receive the best service.
In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends, attending music concerts and festivals and the outdoors with my partner and dog.
With a background in practical work, I have been working in commercial glazing installation for two years. The great thing about my work is the diversity of projects, which means I get to travel and work with a wide range of clients and colleagues, with no job the same as another and every project interesting.

Outside work I enjoy playing rugby, watching sport in general and spending time with my family.

Beyond my work at GLRE, I'm passionate about kickboxing, football and ice hockey. My most cherished moments, however, are those I spend with my family. They remind me of the importance of a work-life balance and the significance of meaningful connections.

I have worked in the architectural glazing industry for some 40 years, with many of these spent in specialist research and development. This has involved me in a wide range of R&D projects, including fire screen development and testing, designing and testing new profile and glazing systems and working with professors at Brunel University to innovate the first blast mitigation (bomb) film, in the wake of the IRA bombing of the Grand Hotel in Brighton.
My time in R&D also saw me develop the two largest robotic roof cleaning systems in Europe, from design through to installation and commissioning.
Having run my own engineering business from 1996, I joined GLRE last year as Production Manager. Managing our central fabrication and glazing profile distribution centre, I am responsible for configuring and fabricating our wide range of glazing systems and bespoke components, in collaboration with our designers and project managers. As the description suggests, I am in daily contact with the whole team, which is one of the things I love here, along with the variety of challenges each project poses.
In my spare time, I like to walk my dogs in the countryside. I am also an experienced free-diver, something I have done all over the world, from Egypt to Belize.
As an Account Manager at GLRE, I bring extensive experience from working across multiple industries, including a background in builder's merchants specialising in glazing materials, which has helped me gain background knowledge before starting with GLRE.
With a focus on client satisfaction and keeping the business's best interests at heart, I leverage my skills to ensure success and growth at GLRE.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, as well as relaxing with a good book.
